Reiko Nakamori, a married woman who took on job hunting to support her family after her husband fell ill, finally lands a position at a company. On her first day, she arrives to find all employees working completely naked except for traditional Japanese loincloths called fundoshi. At first, she can't believe her eyes, but soon realizes everyone else wears the garment with complete confidence. Though shocked and hesitant, and initially reluctant to accept the clean, new fundoshi handed to her by the company president, Reiko steel herself for the sake of her ailing husband and her new life at work—and resolves to put it on.
