Toshio works alongside his mother at a small greengrocer located in a downtown shopping district. His mother is actually his stepmother, having married his father years ago, making her both mother and stepmother. With his father now deceased, the two run the shop together. One day, Toshio accidentally witnesses his stepmother secretly meeting with the middle-aged owner of the neighboring ramen shop. This work by Kawasaki Gunni draws attention as a Showa-era-style human drama, blending humor with a touch of melancholy and nostalgia.
