He names the mannequin "Akari," just like his wife, and gradually incorporates it into his daily life. The mannequin's striking resemblance brings back vivid memories, making him feel as though his wife has returned. Kojima regains his smile and becomes emotionally dependent on "Akari" to fill the void in his heart. However, his feelings for the doll slowly twist into uncontrollable sexual desire, driving him to act on compulsive urges.
