During an experiment to develop new energy sources, the Negaria Empire suddenly launches an attack aiming to conquer Earth. The shock causes the experimental device to go out of control, triggering a massive energy explosion. Amid the chaos, Kageura Suzu, who was present at the scene, absorbs the energy blast and gains the supernatural ability to materialize her shadow. She dubs her transformed self "Shadow Lady" and begins battling the Negaria Empire. One day, Suzu predicts the enemy's movements and uncovers their horrifying plan: "Japan Missile Bombardment Operation." She attempts to protect the core energy generator, but arrives just moments too late—the device is seized by the enemy.
