One day, I received a message from my wife Rena saying there would be a neighborhood camping event. Although it was scheduled for a weekday and I initially planned to decline, our neighborhood association head, Mr. Nakata, had already coordinated with my company supervisor, forcing me to attend. On the day of the camping trip, Rena and I were supposed to head to the site separately—her with the women's group and me with the youth division. But when I arrived at the designated location, no one was there. After contacting Rena, I learned that due to various issues, only four participants had shown up. Since Rena doesn't handle alcohol well, I couldn't shake the uneasy feeling that something strange might happen.
