Back in middle school, there was a time when I liked a girl and desperately wanted to find a way to get closer to her. I became obsessed with how to approach her, and one day, I actually thought about using chloroform to knock her out and assault her—a terrifying idea in hindsight. Looking back now, I'm horrified by what I once considered. My past self feels deeply shameful, and I can't believe I ever entertained such thoughts. Today, I firmly believe those actions are completely unacceptable. Perhaps back then, I simply didn't understand adult responsibility or ethics. Recalling that version of myself brings real pain. Yet, that experience ultimately helped me grow. I've learned to forgive my past and move forward positively. Reflecting on it has allowed me to understand myself on a deeper level.
