Saki Kozakura, a young married woman, suffers under the harsh treatment of a clique of wives in her apartment complex. Burdened with unreasonable demands—taking out the trash, distributing community notices, enforcing neighborhood rules—she finds herself trapped with no escape. Unable to confide in anyone, she endures in silence, but her patience soon spirals into deep regret. The domineering attitudes of the wives, along with their cold, controlling nature masked by superficial friendliness, gradually erode Saki's spirit. These daily torments mark the beginning of her downfall.
