In their third year of marriage, Makoto and his wife Yui find themselves increasingly unsatisfied with their relationship. Makoto frequently travels for work, leaving home often, and struggles with erectile dysfunction during sex, causing him deep guilt and self-blame. Meanwhile, Yui, overly conscious of being a proper, dutiful wife, has become reclusive, hesitant to leave the house. Worried about her state, Makoto encourages her to attend a cooking class she's been wanting to join—but everything changes once she steps outside their home.
