Yuriko only gets to see her husband, Takashi, for ten days each year, leaving her emotionally lonely. Seeking comfort, she begins to grow close to Mamoru, a fisherman from the local cooperative who occasionally delivers fresh fish. However, Mamoru restrains his feelings in front of her husband, suppressing his desires. Meanwhile, her son, Tatsuya, notices his mother's loneliness and starts considering moving to Tokyo. But as time passes, Tatsuya develops intense feelings for Yuriko, further pressuring her emotionally.
