Eight years into her marriage, Chinami begins fertility treatments due to the pressure from her mother-in-law and her inability to have children. The grueling medical examinations take a toll on her pride as a woman, leaving her emotionally shattered. One day while out shopping, she is falsely accused of shoplifting by convenience store manager Nakagawa, who aggressively assaults her with an overbearing attitude. In the midst of this ordeal, she is rescued by shoplifting detective Saeki, whose kindness offers her a glimmer of emotional healing. However, driven by an intense desire to see Saeki again, she deliberately commits shoplifting the very next day.
