Satoru, who lives a semi-reclusive life, finds his routine disrupted when his grandmother Ruriko comes to stay one day while his parents are away on a trip. However, Ruriko is a clumsy woman who doesn't even know how to use a gas stove, forcing her to rely on Satoru, who normally never helps with housework. In turn, Satoru begins taking care of her. As she observes him, Ruriko starts seeing the image of her first love—the man she lost during the war—superimposed onto Satoru. A story unfolds where the warm bond between grandmother and grandson intertwines with the weight of past heartbreak, revealing the deep emotions hidden beneath everyday life.
