Shou, a detective from the ○-Division, investigates with Kanna's spiritual powers and the assistance of entomologist Dr. Ichikawa, uncovering the culprit: a new species of giant mosquito. They plan to lure Kanna out to draw the mosquito into the open and resolve the case, but behind it all lies the Akuru Clan's conspiracy. Human female bodies serve as ideal breeding grounds for the new mosquito species, and the Akuru Clan intends to use Katana—their natural enemy—as a host for mosquito reproduction.
