However, Donovan's attack destroyed the facility, leaving Acura to awaken alone and unconscious of her identity. Wandering the city in confusion, she narrowly avoids capture by Donovan's cyborg soldiers—only to be rescued by Mac, a member of the ○○ gang. The two begin traveling together, but Mac plans to sell Acura to Miguel, a slave trader. When Miguel learns Acura is wanted by Donovan, he attempts to hand her over. Though not yet fully awakened, Acura manages to escape, but is gradually driven into a corner. Teaming up with Mac, she heads toward Cocoon's secret base to uncover the truth about her origins—only to find bounty hunters hired by Donovan lying in wait. Donning the headgear inherited from Promises, Acura battles the three hunters, but without full awakening, she is slowly overwhelmed… [BAD END]
