Ayame lives an ordinary life with her family of three, but her days are plagued by endless silent phone calls. One day, she begins to suspect that the caller might be her son, Masato. As she reaches for the door to his room, she hears his inner thoughts from the other side. Pressing her ear against the door, Ayame begins to perceive the depths of her son's mind. Neglected in her role as a mother and isolated by a husband uninterested in parenting, Ayame's sense of self—both as a woman and a mother—starts to waver. Then suddenly, a message arrives on her phone: "I can't take it anymore..." "I see you as a woman, not just as my mother—why can't you understand?" Filled with unbearable emotion, her son's cry forces Ayame to confront him as a mother. Yet from that moment on, the bond between mother and son begins to shift subtly, and the family's fragile balance starts to collapse—leading inevitably toward the destruction of their family.
