On a night returning home to my hometown after several years, I stopped by a bar I used to frequent after running errands. There, I encountered my former girlfriend. She told me she's now married. Our chance reunion left me too nervous to speak easily at first, but as the alcohol took effect, we gradually grew closer, losing track of time as we talked. Even as the bar was about to close, I still wanted to keep talking, to stay with her longer. It was a night filled with lingering emotions.
