On a certain day in November 2009, I was approached by Ms. Asano Naomi and Mr. Yapoo Zero with a proposal for an interview and breeding project, marking my first opportunity to join team Rinryu. I took charge of establishing the administrative office and handling communications with volunteer livestock candidates, playing a crucial role in selecting individuals worthy of standing before that door. "This is Minami from the Yapoo Interview Breeding Project Office." With these words, the project officially began. Titled "The Door to Yapoo," this initiative was committed to complete documentation, aiming to capture every moment up close. Alongside Rinjou, I filmed our encounters with livestock candidates, documenting everything from picking them up to handing them over to the interview and breeding officers. There is a clear line dividing the outside world—the realm of real humans—and the inner world of livestock people. The moment that door opens marks a turning point from which there is no return. Through this project, I bore witness to volunteers becoming livestock people in truth. I also participated in the behind-the-scenes training of new Jouou candidates conducted by Ms. Naomi, witnessing firsthand the birth of a new Jouou.
