I don't understand the punchline of the story. This is a work with a common plot where a middle-aged man brainwashes (likely hypnotizes) his daughter and eventually makes her a slave to his carnal desires. However, midway through, the man's mind begins to collapse, and he starts speaking incoherently. Toward the end, something resembling a reason for this is hinted at, but the explanation is insufficient and lacks consistency. I went back to check if there was some foreshadowing at the beginning, but it's still unclear. Could someone please explain this mystery?
