The direction isn't bad, but it's a shame in many ways. I think the premise itself—a former OL, exhausted from city life, returns to her hometown to find her family home turned into a soapland, where she ends up having relations with local men who have known her since childhood—is a fairly interesting idea. However, the character settings for her partners feel half-baked. Having a childhood friend and a random old man who makes you want to say "Who the hell are you?" gives the impression of a lack of ideas. The most potentially taboo-heavy setup—"the neighbor uncle who has known you since birth"—is the most intense, yet it's a shame there's no actual sex scene. I wish they had delved deeper into the taboo aspects of those human relationships. In the latter half, the creampie scenes are well done, with the "I'll get pregnant" impregnation taunt clearly depicted. On the other hand, Narusawa's retort of "Everyone does it in the countryside" lacks persuasiveness. The ending also leaves a vague impression. The direction of having her work as a creampie soapland girl who lets anyone impregnate her within the closed-off rural social circle had room for deeper exploration. It feels a bit wasteful to end this work with just one volume, but it's also a tricky line—I'd be troubled if they just churned out a second volume with the same content but a different actress. It ended up being a work on that fine line.
