Ami, a magician, sets out on a journey to defeat Bahamesu, the demon king threatening the world, alongside Ken, the legendary hero. Along the way, female fighter Ryoma and merchant Draneko join the party, growing stronger and capable of defeating powerful monsters as they draw closer to the demon king. During their travels, they discover the Hero's Sword embedded in the ground. While Ken and Draneko fail to pull it out, Ami effortlessly draws the blade. As Ken falls into despair, Ami encourages him and devises ways to continue their journey. However, upon learning of her feat, Demon King Bahamesu mistakenly believes Ami is the true legendary hero and commands his monsters to attack her.
