The annual "Clothed Swimming Meet" season for the Suiko University Swim Team has arrived. This training camp, held every early spring, features a unique initiative where participants intensively practice "clothed swimming" in a 25-meter pool. Attendees can enjoy swimming in their favorite outfits, ranging from high school uniforms to cosplay costumes bought for the occasion, or casual clothes. Eriko, who is in the middle of job hunting, decided to join this camp as a change of pace and chose to swim in her recruitment suit. On the first day of the camp, she wears a charcoal gray recruitment suit. Inside her suitcase, she has two more recruitment suits for use during the camp.
First, they thoroughly do warm-up exercises, which include not only stretching but also sit-ups, push-ups, and back exercises. Since she's wearing a recruitment suit, she seems a bit restricted in her movements. After finishing the warm-up, she waits for her turn to swim while sitting on a poolside chair. Finally, Eriko approaches. She acclimates her body to the water by flutter-kicking and splashing at the poolside before entering the water.
She starts with breaststroke, but the tight skirt clings to her legs and the jacket constricts her upper body, making it hard to swim properly, and her whole body sinks below the water's surface. Since the purpose of this camp is "to enjoy clothed swimming in one's chosen outfit," skill in swimming isn't an issue. Next, she tries freestyle. With the suit on, her body doesn't move as she wants, and she can't breathe properly. However, recalling the nostalgic phrase "That doesn't matter," Eriko immerses herself in swimming relentlessly.
