In the aftermath of the war, Yumiko is exhausted from caring for her husband Ginji, who has lost the use of his body. One day, Oki, Ginji's former subordinate, comes to visit and is shocked by Ginji's condition. Unintentionally, Oki witnesses Yumiko's intimate care for her husband. Torn between her devotion to her spouse and the rising feelings of frustration and desire within herself, Yumiko struggles with inner conflict.
