Wakazu, the second-generation company president, has taken over the family business, Hojo Whiskey, founded by his father, striving to secure the company's future. Trusted by his predecessor and supported by veteran employee Kurosaki, Wakazu had vowed to dedicate himself entirely to the company's success. However, after his father's retirement, a series of challenges—including changes in management policy and demands for capital increases from the bank—overwhelmed him, and nothing went as planned. The company's cohesion steadily declined, and internal chaos deepened. Amid this turmoil, Kurosaki, the long-time employee, began eyeing the presidency himself and started showing interest in Wakazu's wife and emotional anchor, Maki—threatening Wakazu's position and signaling a critical turning point for the company's future.
