In the previous installment, female detective Asai Chihiro, who had coincidentally become a target of the Female Body Torture Research Institute, was rescued from a rundown building within an abandoned complex. After temporary hospitalization, she finally returned to the investigation headquarters. Since then, the Institute's activities have seemingly disappeared from public view. The victims are no longer ordinary citizens, but rather individuals in special positions—such as the wife of a yakuza boss caught in the conflict between the investigators and the Moriyama Group—causing the investigative team to gradually lose its former sense of urgency. Though the crimes appear relatively minor compared to murder or bombings, a complex web of human relationships and underground networks lies hidden beneath the surface.
