The story begins with the fact that her son, Masaru, is being bullied. The bullies force him to shoplift, resulting in Masaru being labeled a repeat offender and the school contacting his mother. Chisato watches as Masaru's homeroom teacher harshly scolds him. However, seeing the teacher reprimand her son without listening to his side, Chisato becomes furious and protests, "Wasn't he forced into shoplifting?" But the teacher refuses to listen, insisting, "There is no bullying in our school," and continues pressuring Masaru. Witnessing the teacher force Masaru to admit to the theft against his will, Chisato reaches her breaking point. Overcome with emotion, she finally resolves to take action.
