In the initial trial at the district court, the defendant physician's despicable and premeditated criminal methods were revealed. A 46-year-old doctor who ran a women's clinic in central Kansai was indicted on charges of quasi-indelicacy and admitted to all charges during the first hearing. Since around 2002, he had been pressuring female patients undergoing ultrasound examinations at his clinic to undress beyond what was necessary and performing inappropriate physical examinations. Some of these acts were recorded using high-performance miniature cameras. Cameras had been installed in multiple locations inside the clinic, including the toilets, capturing detailed footage of patients' anxious expressions, urine collection procedures, and the doctor's conduct during ultrasound exams. The defendant saved these videos on his home computer, categorizing female patients into ranks A to C, and maintained a collection documenting their physical appearances and genital characteristics.
