Toshiaki's debut work stars Sato Mitsu, an amateur cosplayer who genuinely loves anime cosplay, captured on a real-life cosplay trip shot by amateur cameramen. The greatest charm of this work lies in the heartbreakingly tender melancholy that Mitsu carries. Inspired by her presence, the director himself felt emotionally moved, leading to significant changes in the editing approach. Despite tight deadlines and difficult circumstances, that emotion naturally permeates the final product.
When I first watched the edit preview, I burst into tears. The editing doesn't follow a standard chronological order; instead, it's structured to evoke scenes the way memories resurface in real life. The characters' conversations become key drivers of the narrative, creating a sensation akin to retracing actual past experiences.
This work is constructed to allow viewers to experience something they've never lived through, via artistic expression. Within its eroticism and absurd humor lies a poignant, bittersweet love story. Toshiaki proudly presents this work.
