However, the beam's effects leave her permanently unable to regain her vision. Meanwhile, Miu receives word that her squad captain has been injured and returns to base. Waiting for her there is her captain, who has been possessed by an alien from the Siren Star. After being struck by an electric shock, Miu loses control of her body. In her unconscious state, the deep-sea beast Octoog is unleashed, drastically altering the course of the battle.
