Married woman Taeko (31) embarks on a one-night, two-day trip with a man she's just met. With her marital bond having grown distant, spending 24 hours in close proximity awakens new emotions within her. In their seventh year of marriage, Taeko and her husband are a childless, dual-income couple. They met through acquaintances—her husband being older—and even during courtship, their busy work schedules allowed only limited time together. Hoping for a closer relationship, they decided to marry a year and a half later. Yet after moving in together, conflicting work routines kept them out of sync, sometimes going days without seeing each other. Deprived of communication and having never had sex since marrying, Taeko no longer sees her husband as a romantic partner, but more like an older brother. Lamenting her loveless future, she finds herself embraced by a stranger on this trip and experiences pleasure for the first time.
