After the sudden death of her sister and brother-in-law, Nami (Sakamoto) and her husband take in their nephew, Ryo. While Nami grieves deeply for Ryo's loss, her husband grows increasingly resentful of the burden of having him live in their home. As debt collectors close in on the massive debt left behind by the deceased couple, Nami, unable to confide in her husband, is forced into selling her body to pay off the loans. Witnessing her suffering, Ryo's heart aches and he develops intense sympathy for her. Wounded and vulnerable, the two gradually grow closer, their emotional bond deepening amid shared pain.
