The protagonist, Kasumi Igawa, is 44 years old—divorced in the past but now in her third year of remarriage, and mother to three children. With a resolve to restart her life, she embarks on a journey to reflect on her former happiness. Growing up in a household where both parents worked, her childhood entertainment consisted of reading and solitary play. From middle school onward, she began caring for her younger brother and took on housework and cooking. After experiencing part-time jobs and romance, she graduated from ●● High School, found employment, and left home to live independently. At age 22, she married a man two years her junior introduced by a friend. Blessed with two children, her life path soon took an unexpected turn.
